What is the Hardest Age for Autism?

Every individual with autism has unique challenges and struggles that differ according to their age. There is no defined age for Autism. The symptoms of autism appear at different ages, leading to challenges connected to that stage of their lives.

While each person is unique, some things are common, as are very difficult:

Toddler years (ages 2–4)

This is usually when autistic symptoms first develop. This time can be stressful for the kid and their caretakers due to communication difficulties, speech limitations, and social interaction issues.

Early school age (ages 5–7)

Entering school can bring new struggles. Autistic individuals do not prefer any novel schedule. So, in a school adjusting to a brand-new schedule, which varies from their home environment, can be a tough task to deal with. Similarly, seeing lots of new faces and interacting with them is a great struggle for them.

Pre-Adolescence years (ages 9–12)
